Green Smoothie ginger

Australians everywhere will love any of these three healthy green smoothie recipes. All of them combine our fragrant and mouth-watering flavoured protein blends (either cinnamon or coconut) to give you all the benefits of a protein kick plus the nutrition and antioxidants our powder is famous for.

We have both pea and whey protein available, both which are packed full of natural ingredients to make you feel like a million dollars.

We’ve carefully chosen our top three green smoothies from a pile of different recipes that pack the biggest healthy detox kick, while going above and beyond in the flavour department.

For the past year I been presenting Green Smoothie Workshops for the Gold Coast Councils Active and Healthy Program. This is a community based program designed not only to educate our locals on the importance of their health, it encourages people of all ages to take part in the workshops and making use of our beautiful parks and community libraries. There are over 170 programs weekly, they are low or no cost and can range from:

-Fitness and Yoga Classes

-Wellbeing and Nutritional Workshops

-Sport and Recreation

-Gardening and Nature based Programs

-Lifestyle Programs and creative Workshop

This is my way of giving back to the community and sharing my passion for Health and Nutrition.

Below are 3 Green Smoothie I share in my Smoothie Workshop!

Simple Green Smoothie

1 scoop Coconut Pea Protein Blend

1 banana

1-2 cups kale or leafy greens

Flesh from half a young coconut (cracked opened and flesh scrapped out)

1-2 cups of coconut water

1 cup of ice

Skinny Green Smoothie

1 scoop Coconut WPI Cinnamon Protein Blend

1/2 cup mango (frozen)

1/2 cucumber

1/2 avocado

1 thumb of raw ginger

1/2 cup fresh mint or basil

1/2 cup leafy greens

1-2 cups coconut water

1 cup ice

Immune Boosting Smoothie

1 scoop Coconut Pea Protein Blend

1 banana

1-2 cups kale

1 stalk celery

1 thumb raw ginger

1 thumb raw turmeric

1 tea spoon flaxseed or coconut oil

1-2 cups coconut water

1 cup ice

Method

Place ingredients into a high powered blender and blend. Add more coconut water or ice to get your desired consistency. I personally love lots of ice, it gives your smoothie a great texture and makes you drink it slowly …which is great for digestion!
