Easy Acai Bowl Recipe

Acai Bowls have been round for a while now and I don’t see them going out of fashion any time soon. I remember trying my very first one in a little organic cafe/coffee shop in Hawaii almost 5 years ago!  What I love about them is they just don’t taste amazing, they are also jam packed full of nutritional brilliance. Acai Berry’s are from Brazil and look very similar to the Blueberry. These little berries are full of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. Acai berries are also immune boosting, they improve energy levels, metabolic function and are said to benefit heart health.

I have put together a simple recipe adding our Coconut Tigers Milk Blend Protein! This will help you stay fuller for longer and help balance out the sugars in the fruit.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon Tigers Milk Coconut Protein (or  Chocolate)

1 frozen banana

2 heaped tablespoons Acai Powder or 1 Frozen Acia Puree pack (you can purchase from most health food shops)

1 cup frozen blueberries

1/2  cup coconut water or almond milk

Place all ingredients into a high powered blender. Blitz until smooth. Be careful not to add too much liquid  as it will turn into a smoothie. You may need to stop blender and stir ingredients a few times.

Top with gluten free granola, fruit and berries.
